Super Junior wins in three categories for the Singapore’s ‘e-Awards’
Super Junior has come away with three awards at Singapore’s ‘e-Awards‘ music ceremony!
Super Junior took home first place in the categories of “most popular group”, “most popular Korean artist”, and “most popular U-Weekly cover”.
The ‘e-Awards’ is sponsored by China’s union Wanbo, radio 1003, and omy, and gives out awards to exceptional stars in the categories of music, film, TV, and radio, through fan votes. Out of the 14 total categories, Super Junior won three, defintiely an admirable feat for the boys.
The ceremony party will be held in Taiwan on May 15th.

Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, B2ST, and more to perform at Google headquarters
On May 21st at 6PM PST, Google will be hosting a concert at their Mountain View, California headquarters featuring performances by K-Pop’s reigning stars including SM Entertainment‘s Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, Super Junior as well as KARA, SISTAR, MBLAQ, B2ST, and the Wonder Girls. This event will broadcast through MBC and Google.
This will be the first time that a K-Pop concert will broadcast through not only a Korean channel, but through a major internet portal like Google, evidencing the rise of K-Pop’s popularity all over the world.
A representative of the event stated, “After hearing the news that Korean artists will be performing at the Google headquarters, curiosity has peaked even among the local event organizers. I think that previous performances by Korean artists were targeted towards Korean-Americans or the Koreans living abroad, but this time its appeal will spread to all fans of pop music in the US.”
In related news, SM artists will also be performing for their ‘SMTown Live‘ concert at the Honda Center in California on May 20th.

Tiffany and Leeteuk Reveal the Highest Earning Member in Girls’ Generation and Super Junior
On yesterday’s episode of SBS “Strong Heart,”Tiffany named YoonA as the member who has the highest earnings in Girls’ Generation. She explained, “YoonA has a lot of solo activities, like CFs and dramas, so she takes the no. 1 spot.” YoonA currently stars in KBS melodrama “Love Rain,” alongside Jang Geun Suk,Lee Mi Sook, and Jung Jin Young. Tiffany added, “I’m also starting new activities with unit group TaeTiSeo with Taeyeon and Seohyun, so I’m also looking forward [to my income].”
Following Tiffany’s answer, MC Lee Dong Wook asked Leeteuk the same question regarding Super Junior. Leeteuk replied, “Last year, I had eight programs under my belt, as well as radio DJ activities and CFs. So I firmly believed I would take the top spot this time. I was really expecting to win, but then I didn’t,” piquing fellow cast members’ interest. He stated, “First place went to [Choi] Si Won. It was impossible to beat him because of his CFs in Thailand, China, Taiwan, etc.” Eunhyuk humorously responded, “No matter how much we earn, we make less than Si Won,” drawing sympathy from fellow guests.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk Shows Up As Marilyn Monroe at the Airport!
Super Junior’s Eunhyuk wrote a new chapter in airport fashion history.
Eunhyuk arrived at the Incheon International Airport on April 30 dressed up as Marilyn Monroe. The reason he had to do this was because of failing a mission during a concert. After finishing an Indonesian concert, it is being said that Eunhyuk happily went through with his punishment.
On April 27-29, Super Junior held their “Super Show 4” concert at the Mata Elang international stadium in Jakarta. The concert had 25,000 viewers. It was Super Junior’s first concert in Indonesia.
On April 7, offline ticket reservations were being held and because the fans had all rushed into the ticket booth, some fans fainted. Super Junior decided to add one more concert day, that is why the concert was held for three days.
Now, Super Junior will continue on with their world tour in the Tokyo Dome from May 12-13.

SME Documentary “I AM” Showing Cancelled Due to Data Error
SM Entertainment‘s new documentary film “I AM,” featuring the lives of artists like Kangta, BoA, DBSK,Super Junior, Girls Generation, SHINee, and f(x), cancelled its press premiere scheduled on April 30 without further notice. “I AM” was supposed to have its first premiere event for media and sponsoring companies on April 30 at 4pm.
The PR representative of “I AM” explained, “We’ve had a long and serious meeting regarding the quality of the movie last night until 11pm. All important officials from the distribution company CJ Entertainment, SME, and the director of the movie Choi Jin Sung got together and have concluded that we could make it better.” This representative added, “The biggest reason of the cancellation of today’s movie premiere is data error. We decided to cancel the scheduled premiere, because we wanted to reveal the movie when it is perfect.”
Although the press premiere of “I AM” has been cancelled, the showcase featuring SME’s artists will still continue at 7pm on April 30. The film “I AM” will be in theaters on May 10

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun Reveals That TVXQ’s Changmin is a Scrooge
Super Junior’s Kyuhyun revealed that whenever the time comes to pay after a meal, TVXQ‘s Changminpretends to have forgotten his wallet at home.
On April 30, Kyuhyun as well as the other SM artists, attended the showcase for the the SM Town movie, “I AM,” at CGV theaters. This day, Kyuhyun revealed some of the behind stories along with some of the difficulties he had faced on set.
He especially received attention for revealing Changmin’s “Scrooge-like” personality. He brought a lot of laughter by telling about an incident when Changmin “acted like he forgot his wallet at home.”
Kyuhyun stated, “One day, Changmin said that he wanted to eat beef. So the two of us went to a quite expensive restaurant to eat together. Changmin said to me, ‘Kyuhyun, I’ll pay for the meal. Eat as much as you want.’ Then all of a sudden, he pretended to be surprised and said, ‘Oops. I forgot my wallet at home!’”
“Hearing this, I told him, ‘Okay. Then I’ll pay for the meal today.’ As soon as I told him that I would pay, Changmin asked me, ‘Then can we order two more servings of beef? And also, can we order some more bibimbap and cold noodles?’” His hilarious story brought a lot of laughter to the site, making Changmin quite embarrassed.
Also on this day, SHINee‘s Minho revealed a similar story about Super Junior’s Eunhyuk. Minho stated, “There is always that hyung who is really close to you but never buys food for you. For me, that person is Eunhyuk.” Furthermore, he said, “Since I’m younger, it’s quite awkward for me to ask him to buy a meal for me first. Shouldn’t he offer to buy me a meal first? But he never has.” Minho’s joking complaint received a lot of attention.
In response to this, Eunhyuk joked, “Although I am older, there are some people who you simply do not want to spend your money on. For me, that person is Minho. Even if I don’t buy food for him, he looks like he will eat fine on his own. He’s even taller than me!” His hilarious comment also brought a lot of laughter.
