Super Junior, ready to come back to the music scene with their sixth album, Sexy, Free & Single, on July 5, will say thank you to their fans through a song.

“From U,” a song Super Junior will present to their fan club E.L.F, is a medium-tempo R&B genre. It describes celebrities and fans as lovers who are made for each other although they argue sometimes.

The news Super Junior are planning to perform “From U” with “Sexy, Free & Single” is getting many fans excited.

Super Junior have lately received wide attention with their teaser photos, released from June 21 under the theme of “Beautiful Men.”

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk has an awkward time at Seohyun’s birthday party

Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk recently amused fans by leaving a series of live tweets from the scene of Seohyun‘s 22nd birthday party.

On June 26th, he began by writing, “Last night… I received a Kakao Talk message from Seohyun saying, ‘Oppa, what are you doing tomorrow night??’ I asked back, ‘Why, what’s up?’ Seohyun said, ‘I’m going to have a birthday party with some close friends!!^^’ I replied back, ‘Then why are you inviting me…’ Anyway, I headed there tonight to wish her a happy birthday. Unexpectedly, I ended up being the first person to arrive.”

In his next tweet with a picture of Seohyun pouring him a drink, he wrote,“We’re drinking juice… Suffocating awkwardness.”

The tweet was followed by a group photo with Kyuhyun, with Eunhyuk writing,“After 30 minutes, Kyuhyun arrived! Still kind of a weird combination. We tried to make it look like a bright environment.”

Finally, with the arrival of Heechul, Sooyoung, Jinwoon, and Amber, he wrote back to back, “Heenim and Sooyoung arrived!! It’s getting better. But where are Seohyun’s friends…” and “An hour after the promised time, Seohyun’s real friend Jinwoon and Amber arrived!! Seohyun, is this the group photo you were looking for?”

Eunhyuk wrapped up his night by finally writing, “YoonA and Sunny arrived with cake!!!! This ended up being SuJu&SoShi&JYP Jinwoon kekeke. I left after that. I heard that Leeteuk and Changmin came after me. Anyway, happy birthday, Seohyun^^.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Donghae get ′Married′ in New Teaser?

While only two teaser member teaser photos for Super Junior’s impending comeback have been released, one creative fan has utilized the two to make a humorous new picture.

Following the June 21 and June 22 release of the teaser photos for Eunhyuk and Donghae respectively, user ‘fay ckyuhyuk’, humorously combined the two pictures to form a new, rather romantic image.

In the new picture, Super Junior’s Donghae looks as though he is comforting a distraught Eunhyuk who leans his head against Donghae’s chest. The new image could pass as a romantic movie poster for the two Super Junior members.

Since its posting the photo has been shared numerous times online with netizens commenting with, “They’re finally getting married!!!”, “Eunhae… this is their marriage proof” and “That’s actually so cool LOL.”

ELFs in full support for Super Junior’s comeback

Excitement and anticipation now runs high among Super Junior fans worldwide.

As soon as the news of the group’s comeback album broke out, social media sites were immediately flooded with well-wishes and eager anticipation.

Comments such as “Can’t wait for SUJU!”, “Extremely excited for the new album!” “Welcome back, Super Junior!” and “Super Junior’s comeback is the most awaited among all groups!” were all over the fanpages of Super Junior, and even SM Town.

Also very noticeable were the fans’ love and support for Kangin, as they posted: “Kangin oppa, fighting!”, “Kangin is coming back, can’t wait!”, “Congratulations for Kangin!” After spending two years in the military, Kangin reunites with the group in the sixth album.

Fans have expressed their full support for Super Junior, by promising to download the album online, and to purchase records as soon as they become available in music stores.

‘Sexy, Free, & Single’, the group’s sixth album, will be available for download on July 1st. CDs will be available in store come July 4th.

Kim Heechul selected as the ‘prettiest’ male idol

Super Junior‘s Kim Heechul was selected as the “prettiest” male idol by netizens.

Recently, the results of  an online poll asking voters to choose which male idol they thought was prettier than the average female were revealed.

Although Kim Heechul was up against a lot of other attractive, “flower boy” contenders, he was still able to come out on top.

Heechul was up against other beautiful celebrities, such as Shin Hyesung, JYJ‘s Kim Jaejoong, Kim Hyun Joong, Yoo Ho Suk, Lee Hongki, L, Jang Geun Suk, and SHINee‘s Taemin.

Netizens who saw the results of the poll commented, “There are so many male celebrities who are prettier than girls,” “Do girls have to be jealous of boys now?” and “Of course Kim Heechul, he gets prettier every time I see him.”

Super Junior is to come out with their new album on July 1.

On June 21, its agency, SM Entertainment told, “Super Junior is to pre-released the audios of the all songs from the sixth studio album, titled Sexy, Free & Single.”

The album will be out for the first time since the group’s fifth album, which was released in last August. That will have been about 11 months since the last album release. Having returning from the army last April, Gang In also confirmed to join the team. Gang In’s joining has been boosting fans’ expectations.

Last year, Super Junior hit it big by sweeping music charts in overseas as well as in Korea with is fifth album title song, “Mr. Simple.” The group also made a sensation as the album went Half Million—the group sold over five hundred thousand copies of the fifth album.

Starting from last November, the successful group went on a world tour titled Super Show 4, consisting of 24 concerts. The tour lasted six month in 10 different cities, including Seoul, Osaka, Singapore, Makao, attracting 400,000 fans.

Starting from June 21, Super Junior is to release a teaser image of the members one by one, prior to its new album release, with the kick-off of Eunhyuk’s.

The group’s sixth studio album will also be out in offline shops on July 4.

Super Junior Shindong Gets Dissed by Siri

Usually celebrities receive mean comments from anti-fans and immature netizens, but Super Junior Shindong′s most recent diss was given by his own phone.

On June 19, Shindong tweeted, “Siri! How do you not know me? Huh?? Qook CEO! Please educate Siri more (There are a lot of errors with the 6.0 beta version. Hope the official version comes out soon…^^)”

The photo that he uploaded showed a screen capture of his iPhone, where Shindong asked Siri, “What kind of person is Super Junior’s Shindong?” Siri replied, “I’m sorry. iPhone…doesn’t know the answer to that question.”

Netizens who saw the hilarious tweet replied, “Did Siri just diss Shindong? That’s hilarious,” “Siri is stupid. Bad Siri,” and “I tried as well, but it kept misunderstanding my question. Hopefully in the upgrade, Siri will know you.”

SM-YG Heats Up Summer with Super Junior & 2NE1′s Simultaneous Comeback Next Month

Two biggest rivaling agencies SM and YG are about to have a showdown this coming summer.

SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment both have been in tight competition, and are about to get down again as they present their big name idol groups around the same time. Super Junior and 2NE1are said to be returning on stage mid-July.

A source tells, “The simultaneous comeback of these two star groups from SM and YG is sure to have a ripple effect in the industry!” He adds, “The result of the competition is surly the talk of the town as the confrontation should present an interesting outcome. All other agencies are already adjusting their schedules to avoid this period for their comebacks. This clash is the most anticipated event in the industry today.”

Taiwanese fans go wild for S Korean bands

Targeting Taiwan’s unprecedented craze for South Korean culture and pop artists, 15 pop groups and singers from South Korea have taken turns holding packed concerts around the country this year, raking in hundreds of millions of New Taiwan dollars — in just four months.

Spearheading the series of fast-selling events, 12-member boy band Super Juniorstaged a concert at the Taipei Arena in February, followed by 14 bands and singers who came to Taiwan to hold “big-bucks events.”

The South Korean performers have generated NT$400 million (US$13.49 million) since February, statistics showed.

Earning the most money were the four concerts staged by Super Junior at the Taipei Arena from Feb. 2 to Feb. 5, which generated an estimated NT$151 million and attracted more than 40,000 -Taiwanese fans over the four days, observers said.

Coming next was the SM Town concert at the Hsinchu County Stadium on June 9 — an annual tour concert held by SM Entertainment, the country’s largest record label.

That included 46 South Korean pop artists, including Super Junior, five-member girl band the Wonder Girls, pop singer BoA and duo band Tong Vfang Xien Qi, who performed a joint concert.

The event attracted 28,000 fans, the highest amount ever recorded for a single concert by South Korean singers, and raked in NT$117.6 million.

Big Bang, TVXQ, Super Junior, and U-Kiss to appear at the ‘a-nation’

Idol groups, Big Bang, TVXQ, Super Junior, and U-Kiss will attend the Japanese summer music festival ‘a-nation.’

The four groups were listed in the cast list for the festival, which will be held on August 18 to 26. TVXQ will appear on the festival on August 19 in Osaka and 25 in Tokyo and Big Bang will appear in Tokyo on 26.

The ‘a-nation’ is an annual summer festival, which has been active for over 10 years. Popular Japanese singers, including, Every Little Thing, Exile, TRF, AAA, and Do Ad Infinity will appear at the festival this year.

The four K-pop groups will also appear at the festival. This proves that K-pop is very popular in Japan and in the Japanese festival.

TVXQ, composed of 2 members, will perform at the festival for the second year in a row. In 2010, Kim Jae Joong, Park Yoo Chun, and Kim Jun Soo performed at the festival as JYJ and drew a lot of attention.

Big Bang, who is currently touring the World, will attend the festival after holding their exclusive concert in Fukuoka on June 23 and 24. Super Junior will return to performing this summer and attend the festival.

SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment to heat up the industry next month with a summer showdown

Earlier today, it was announced that both SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment artists will be making their comeback next month. Super Junior is set to return under SM Entertainment, while 2NE1 is set to make their comeback under YG Entertainment. Korean media is calling it the “summer showdown.”

Super Junior will be making their comeback with their sixth full length album during July. YG Entertainment’s popular girl group, 2NE1, will also be returning in July after pushing back their comeback that was originally set for June. 2NE1 is currently set to return in mid-July.

Industry representatives stated on June 19th, “According to the distribution industry, SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment are set to have simultaneous comebacks with Super Junior and 2NE1, respectively.” They continued with, “Since these men and women are representatives of their respective agencies, and they are promoting at the same time, it will have a ripple effect on the industry.”

The representatives also commented, “Considering the circumstances, the confrontation of both top groups should present an interesting outcome.” They finished with, “Small and medium sized agencies have now become urgently concerned with moving their schedules around to avoid the big comebacks during that month.”

Due to the popularity of both Super Junior and 2NE1, a heated showdown is expected to arise between the two groups this summer.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun will be portraying Frank Abagnale Jr. in the upcoming musical of Catch Me if You Canand thanks to a fan who was at the recording, fans get to see a snippet of Kyuhyun’s practice.

Along with the other cast members, he links arms with them before breaking out of the formation to sing his solo parts. As he is the main character, he certainly stands out with his black outfit and white blazer.

He looks hilarious trying to kick out his legs in the beginning. I’m guessing he’s not too flexible.

Siwon has been working out with his trainer for 7 years!

Super Junior’s Siwon revealed how long he has been working our with his trainer.

On the 11th of March, a new photo was uploaded on Siwon’s personal Twitter account. The photo above is the photo that he shared and he wrote “Trainer hyung who is well known as the hyung I ate sushi together with him^^ The time has slipped by and this is the 7th year that we have been working out together *_* We snapped a shot while this made me reminisce the old memories in a long time^^” as the caption of the image.

So Siwon revealed that he has been working out with his trainer for 7 years and it is proven by just seeing his amazing body. He can’t even imagine that it’s already been 7 years since the two of them have been working out together and reminisce the memories they had for the past 7 years.

Super Junior recently completed a two-night concert in Macau and thanks to PJof 3RDWAVEMUSIC, fans get to see an adorable interaction between Siwon andHenry.

Siwon was in PJ’s dressing room and Henry passed by. He decided to play “Catching Grapes” with Siwon, where he would throw a grape into the air and Siwon would try to catch the grape into his mouth. Siwon and Henry were pretty successful and PJ throws you in for a surprise.

SHINee’s Key and Super Junior’s Kyuhyun will both be taking on the role ofFrank Abagnale Jr. for the upcoming musical Catch Me if You Can (they’ll be alternating with 3 other musical actors), and SM Entertainmentreleased two pictures of the singers in their uniforms.

The pictures aren’t exactly new as they are the posters for the musical (though Kyuhyun’s is new). However, besides the different backgrounds in the poster, what’s cute is that they both signed their respective posters/pictures and Key even wrote “Thank You” on his for the support.

120314 Kyochon Chicken thinks that good-looking men (Super Junior) is relevant to chicken

 

Super Junior has been endorsing Kyochon Chickenfor some time now and after seeing the cute CF from the brand, Kyochon has released the ultra good-looking poster featuring Super Junior.

Just somehow Kyochon Chicken equates good-looking, well-dressed men to good chicken. I do suppose that Super Junior doesn’t actually need to be holding chicken in order for chicken sales to be high because you know, ELFs love their boys. I’m still a little confused at, you know, there is no sign of chicken. Onew would be displeased.

120311 Super Junior to release Japanese version of “Opera” in May

After releasing a Japanese version of “Mr. Simple” last November, Super Junior is set to release a new Japanese single this coming May. This time, however, the group will be remaking “Opera” from their latest Korean full length album “Mr. Simple”.

The single will be released in a CD only version as well as a CD+DVD release. The CD only edition comes with the title track “Opera”, and an additional Japanese original song called “Way”. The CD+DVD version has the same tracks, as well as an extra DVD with the music video for the single and its making of.

“Opera” is set to be released on May 9th, while Eunhyuk and Donghae are set to reveal their Japanese version of ”Oppa Oppa”on April 4th.
